PARENTS ANDS CITIZENS ASSOCIATION

 

The P & C Association meets every last Tuesday of the month in the staffroom. All parents and community members are invited to attend. Meeting time is 9:10am to 11:00am. The association provides a forum for discussion of educational issues and a link between home and school. Many resources are purchased for the school as a result of the fund raising activities organised by the P & C.

 

 

 

Parent Helpers

 

Parent help in school activities is encouraged. Parents may become involved through:

· P & C membership and attendance at all meetings

· Voluntary work in the library

· Fundraising projects and working bees

· Excursions and special school events

· Voluntary classroom help in a variety of areas, particularly with remedial reading programs.  (Training workshops are held for parent helpers).

 

Please ask your class teacher or any member of the Executive, if you are able to help for any period of time.

 

ALL parents working within our school are required to sign on/off at the front Office and to collect an identification tag to wear while on school premises.

 

 

 

Canteen

 

A Healthy Canteen operates on most days. Lunch orders, including name and class, are to be written out at home on a bag with money placed inside. A container is left on the office counter for children to place their lunch orders in before 10:00 am. Change due is not received by the child until lunchtime. Separate money is required for children wishing to purchase recess.

 

If your child has special dietary needs please contact the Canteen Supervisor to discuss alternative foods.
